That's right, folks, I guess I've been drafted. Just when I thought I was safe, I got a series of emails from Them People What Run Lotusphere strongly, strongly suggesting that I need to be involved this year. I can't comment specifically how, but if it works out the way we think, it will add a new, useful and hopefully hilarious feature to Lotusphere, give me something to do to give back to the Sphere community, and keep you all from getting too out of control at a critical time during the conference.

I may be calling on some fellow veteran Sphereians to see if they're interested in participating, so if your chat icon or Skype account lights up sometime soon, don't punch that "quit" button until I tell you what's up. THEN you can disconnect and block my account forever...

I sat on the idea for 18 hours, then said, yeah, I really do wanna do this, and even more so when I've got the freedom to do it without worrying what benefit my day job may draw from it.

Shit, I've missed that feeling for years, and maybe I can get it back.

Here we are, in the twilight of the Bush Years, the economy is hosed, everybody's down, we all need a boost.
