I didn't go over to the conference at all Thursday. Resting up seemed more prudent. I was feeling OK, but knew that I would end up driving all the way back up to Maryland without being entirely sure my guts weren't going to explode or something. I went out to Charley's for my usual Thursday-night dinner by myself, and went back and read Twitter all night. It seemed like the appropriate end for a conference with which I'd been at arm's length all week.
So, if I didn't get to talk to you during the Sphere, say hi now, I'm always online. If I didn't get to see your show, I'm sure I'll catch up with you at IamLUG 2010 or some other interesting function. And as always, if you've got a job you need somebody strange to fill, let me know and keep me off the streets at night.
Aftermath: shortly before I got home on the Saturday evening after Lotusphere, the fiery-baseball pain returned, thanks in part to the stress of driving in northern Virginia for the first time in a week. Less than three hours after I got home, Nora took me to the emergency room, and the following evening I had surgery to remove my gall bladder. I'm still sort of recovering. I've lost 25 pounds.
So, I guess we'll see you next year, right? Hope you had a more amazing Lotusphere than I did. That would not be hard.

Good to hear you're getting better, Turtle. You scared us all a bunch there.
Next year will be better!

Thanks for sharing Scott. Having read all your previous posts, you sure had a bad LS time. Really glad they found the culprit.
Looking forward to seeing you next year in Orlando, in a better shape !
Take care will you.

Damn that is just the worst and you drove home like that too.
I was wondering why we didn't see you more.
Glad to hear you are on the mend.
